I haven’t been doing as good with the cross-training as I should be. I do really good on my running days, because that’s all I want to do. I get my run in no matter what, even if I have to shift everything in my day in order to do it. But on my days off from running, I don’t make working out as much of a priority as I should.
Now that I’m officially a personal trainer, I need to set a much better example. Today I did a workout at home, without any extra equipment, just my body. With my little boys around while I’m workout out, I am more often than not chasing them down to get my weights back or resetting my timer constantly. It’s just a pain. So today it was just me, nothing else.
This workout is 4 basic exercises and repeated 3-5 times (or more if you are hardcore). I did this 4 times this morning, then I gave up because my little boys were all over me during the sit-ups and push-ups.
These exercises can be modified if need be:
-Crunches instead of full-sit ups
-Girl push-ups (knees on the ground) instead of regular push-ups
-Regular lunges instead of plyometric lunges
If this is too easy for you, then double the reps! 50 sit-ups, 30 squats, 30 push-ups, 40 lunges.

Great motivation. Way to get it done! I normally have my 4-legged child in the way when I'm working out.
I love bodyweight workouts. Great job getting in a good workout :)
