Almost in time for my birthday [last Wednesday], but for a totally unrelated reason ChapStick® sent me this ‘Party in a Box’ to review their new chapstick flavors. It included:
o ChapStick® Velvet Cupcake and Cake Batter varieties
o Red Velvet cupcake mix from the renowned Sprinkles Cupcakes, named “the world's first cupcake bakery” by The Food Network and featured everywhere from USA Today and The New York Times to “Good Morning America” and “Today”
o Party hats
o Cupcake noisemakers
o Birthday candles
Quite the party package. My little G man was super excited about the hats and noise makers! My favorite part was the chapstick.
“Decadent Velvet Cupcake and mouth-watering Cake Batter”
Everyone who reads my blog should know by know that I am a huge fan of ChapStick® brand chapstick. I should take a picture of all the places I have my chapsticks – in my purse, on my nightstand, in my pocket (always), on a shelf in the living room, in the truck, a 2 year supply in my pantry and more!! My absolute favorite flavors thus far are the Medicated and the Green Apple flavors.
I may very well have a new favorite flavor after this review. CAKE BATTER! Love it. It smells just like a white cake batter ready to be baked into cupcakes. I’ve never had red velvet cake before (what?!) so I didn’t know what to expect for the Velvet Cupcake flavor, but it is also very good.
Again, ChapStick® knows how to do it and although these have wonderful flavors, they don’t leave your lips with the waxy feeling like some of the other flavored lip balms. My lips definitely love these two new ChapStick® flavors.
Not only that, but ChapStick® Cupcake Creations feature a convenient gift tag on the back of each package.
“Bring the party wherever you go with ChapStick®. Perfect to give as a thoughtful gesture for friends, teachers, co-workers or family”
Also in the package was this cupcake mix from Sprinkles Cupcakes (I only know about this cupcakery because I love watching Cupcake Wars on hulu and Candace Nelson [founder] is one of the judges).
With the help of little G man, I made some red velvet and tried them for the first time. YUM! Call me crazy, but I’m not a fan of chocolate cake. But red velvet is awesome!
So, huge THANK YOU to ChapStick® for the ‘Party in a box’. Without meaning to you gave me the birthday cake I didn’t have this year (we had frozen yogurt instead)! And the ChapStick® is amazing. The only problem is that it’s only available for a limited time and sold exclusively at Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens nationwide.
Luckily they sent me an additional set of the “deliciously sweet” new limited edition lip balms. If you want to win these two new flavors [cupcake batter and velvet cupcake] please leave me a comment, telling me your favorite chapstick flavor.
